Fly Fishing - Mušičarenje
Rivers and lakes in Montenegro abound with fish, which makes it an excellent place for fly fishing. The number one river for this sport is the Tara River. Why? The answer is quite simple. First, the water is very clean and drinkable, and the surroundings are charming and untouched. In addition, the river is rich in fish, primarily grayling. The river is also rich in trout and fingerlings.
The fly fishing zone stretches for 8 km. The Adriatic Road runs along the entire zone. The upstream border passes right next to the Biogradska Gora National Park, which is one of the oldest National Parks in Europe. The downstream zone extends to Mojkovac. The course of the river is full of both rapids and calm stretches, which are the perfect places for fly fishing trout and grayling. The river bank is free, accessible and rocky. In the zone there are also several deep whirlpools where you can come across giant specimens of fish, such as the young (Hucho Hucho). The transparency and physical quality of the water are excellent. Under the Old Bridge at the entrance to the city, there are excellent specimens of trout and grayling. From the Old Bridge to the Green Bridge, the water is rich in linden. Upstream from the Green Bridge to Batovo Vir, there is a part of the zone that is more demanding to visit and difficult to access, but is therefore ideal for those who want to catch capital specimens of fish. If you continue further, you will reach Okruglaš and Picina Voda, and further upstream you will encounter very accessible terrain all the way to the end of the zone.

Sports Recreation Area
The former Mojkovac waste site, referred to as the "Jalovište," has been transformed into a sports and recreation zone. Today, it is the most beautiful space at the very entrance to the city, which has an area of 19 hectares. The sports and recreation area is equipped with various facilities, including a 1.5km long cycling and walking track, an outdoor gym and a children's playground with accompanying facilities, as well as a tennis court. A special decoration in the area that connects the city center with the sports and recreation area is the footbridge. With the construction of the footbridge, in addition to solving the safe and unhindered movement of pedestrians, the city got a representative object at its very enterance, which will certainly be a symbol of Mojkovac in the future.
Every day a large number of citizens use the facilities that the sports and recreation area provides, and spend their free time both during the day and at night, until late in the evening, given that the area is illuminated. There you can meet all generations, of all ages, and it includes spaces for all the necessary activities of citizens.
For parents, as well as the elderly population, this area represents safety and rest. The sports and recreation zone is refined with facilities that can be used by children, which provides parents with peace and rest, as well as an escape from the everyday noise of the city.
In addition to the spaces that are suitable for children, this area also has an outdoor gym, where a large number of athletes prepare for their competitions. Most of the athletes are very satisfied with the conditions that this area offers, considering that everything is in one place: a running track, an open gym and, most importantly, excellent weather conditions - especially in the summer months, emphasizing the importance of the location along the banks of the Tara River.
This space (19 ha large) is certainly one of the future development opportunities of the city. With the construction of sports fields, and its various contents, the existing sports infrastructure and the construction of the "Žarski" ski center, Mojkovac has an excellent appeal for sports and tourism throughout the year.
