You can pick: mountain tea (wild oregano), St. John's wort, yarrow, thyme, birch tea, primrose tea, or rosehip.

Try our Honey

Did you know that man has been walking the earth for "only" about 50 thousand years, while bees have been flying from flower to flower for "a whole" 40 million years? Archaeological artifacts show us that man was already enjoying honey from honeycombs as early as 7000 BC. The ancestor of today's man did not raise bees, but looked for them in the hollows of trees and rocks. The oldest information about honey comes from the Stone Age and was found in a cave near Bacor in Spain. On the wall drawing, a woman is represented collecting honey from a rock.

The nutritional and healing value of honey has been recognized since ancient times. Apart from its nutritional and dietary value, honey has long been one of the most successful therapeutic agents. The Mojkovac region is extremely rich in honey and honey products.

Discover our Mushrooms

The Mojkovac region is home to a rich collection of mushrooms, and the local population is often engaged in the sale and processing of mushrooms. You can collect them in untouched nature: boletus, oyster mushroom, chanterelle and morel.

Taste our Dogwood

According to legend, at the time of Jesus' life, this tree's dimensions could be compared to old mighty oaks. The tree was so hard and strong that, because of these characteristics, it was chosen as the tree for Jesus' crucifixion. The legend goes on to say that the tree was so shaken that it was intended for this terrible and cruel purpose that Jesus, sensing its fear, said that because of the compassion he felt the tree would never again grow strong, tall, and hard enough to be used for such a purpose .

In our region, dogwood is used as a fresh and dried fruit and is processed into jam, marmalade, fruit juices, sweets, and compote.

Taste our Blueberry

Legend has it that pilots in the Second World War ate a lot of blueberries in order to see better during night operations. The mountains in the area of Mojkovac are rich in berries, especially blueberries. The area of Bjelasica and Sinjajevina stands out.

Taste our Quince

According to an ancient Athenian wedding tradition, the wedding escort threw quinces on the wedding cart used by the groom to transport the bride to their new home. When they arrived, the bride was eating a ceremonial cake with honey and sesame. To ensure fertility, she would then be given a quince fruit - a symbol of fertility. Thus, the quince remained a symbol of weddings and fertility, remaining in songs and folk traditions in our regions as well.

In Mojkovac, it is used for tea, juice, sweets and brandy.

Taste our Walnut

Walnut is highly valued in our region and is often used in food as a richly nutritious supplement. In addition, the walnut has various medicinal properties.
